Arts Fair on the Square is returning to Bloomington, Indiana, on June 24, bringing visual artists and craftspeople together with the local community. This juried art show features local, regional, and national artists and craftspeople on the picturesque grounds surrounding the Monroe County Courthouse. The Waldron Arts Center is thrilled to be bringing back this annual event on Saturday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Arts Fair on the Square is a family-friendly event that is free and open to the public!

For over 40 years, Arts Fair on the Square has been one of the premier annual events in Bloomington, earning appreciation from artists from all over the country and patrons from all over Indiana and beyond for its commitment to quality. The mission of Arts Fair on the Square is to showcase fine art and craft of the highest quality, connect artists with the art-buying community, and promote commitment to the arts through a variety of interactive arts experiences.

Visitors can meet with artists working in ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture, wood, mixed media, and more.

The Waldron Arts Center

During the festival, the Waldron Arts Center will be extending its gallery hours to be open throughout the entirety of the event. The Waldron Arts Center’s bar and concessions will be open throughout the day for those looking for refreshments and a reprieve from the heat. Historically, Arts Fair on the Square has drawn thousands of visitors to downtown Bloomington to experience the finest visual arts has to offer. In addition to dozens of artists and vendors, the festival will showcase a variety of community organizations. Participating organizations will host engaging games or activities, promote classes and upcoming offerings, offer information about their organizations, or hold raffles and other giveaways.

Volunteers Wanted!

Members of the community are also encouraged to get involved by volunteering! Volunteers are integral to the success of Arts Fair on the Square. For this event, organizers are seeking approximately 50 volunteers to work a shift and help out with various tasks throughout the day. As a token of appreciation, volunteers will be given a pre-event thank you dinner and receive some cool, complimentary swag!
